We toured the University of Washington Center for Nuclear Physics and Astrophysics (CENPA) alongside the Lakeside Middle School during their 7th grade retreat! The focus of the visit was on exposing young scientists to the realities of professional laboratory work!
The Seattle Science Lab, in collaboration with the UW Institute for STEM Cell & Regenerative Medicine, hosted a science research workshop for female-identifying members of the SPIN Girls program. This program took place on October 19th.
During our recent August workshop with the Dragon's Den school, we had the opportunity to lead multiple science experiments for their elementary cohorts. The focus of our experiment was on DNA and learning about its role in our body.
